Art and the Environment

Make extraordinary art of out of the ordinary by getting inventive and intentional with recycled materials and thinking about their environmental impact. Explore the way artists reduce, reuse, recycle, and respond to environmental issues. Find inspiration for your own artwork in the exhibition Counterpressures, where local artists respond to global warming. Spend time outside exploring the environment to find inspiration for your drawings and paintings. Take a trip to Phipps Conservatory to visit the Center for Sustainable Landscapes and create a collaborative installation with your fellow campers.
